Version 1.0 · Effective

RemoteDataWork Conversation Guidelines

Version 1.0

Effective October 29, 2026

These Guidelines are the content, privacy, and safety rules for every RemoteDataWork session. They do not tell you how to carry a conversation: you and the other participants decide what to say about the topic. Technical requirements for recordings are in the Acceptance Criteria.

If a recording breaks these Guidelines, it may be rejected. Serious or repeated breaches can lead to your account being paused or closed under Section 7.2 of the Contributor Services Agreement. Please read them before your first session.

1. Keep it real and live

  • Speak in your own voice, live. Do not play back recordings or use synthetic, AI-generated, or altered audio.
  • Do not let anyone speak for you or use your account.
  • Record only through the Platform. Do not record, copy, or share any part of a session in any other way.

2. Protect other people's privacy

  • Do not name or describe real people who are not in the session in a way that could identify them. Use first names only, or invent names.
  • Never share anyone's phone number, address, email, account or card number, government ID number, or password.
  • In role-play and games, use made-up details, not real ones.
  • Keep what other participants say private. Do not try to find out who they are or contact them outside the Platform.

3. Protect your own privacy

Recordings are used to train AI models and may be licensed to other companies for the same purpose. Do not share sensitive details about yourself in a session, such as health information, financial details, government ID numbers, or passwords. Topics never require them.

4. Only enrolled contributors in the recording

  • Take part from a room where no one else can be heard, including children.
  • If someone else comes in or starts talking, end the session or wait until they leave before continuing.
  • No one under 18 (or under the age of majority where you live) may take part or be audible.

5. No copyrighted material

Do not read out or perform someone else's copyrighted work, including copyrighted books, articles, scripts, songs, or poems. Turn off any music playing in the background.

Talking about a work, or quoting a line or two in conversation, is fine. For clarity, you may also talk about or quote public-domain works or things you wrote yourself.

6. Conduct and safety

Treat other participants with respect. In any session, you must not:

  • harass, threaten, bully, or intimidate anyone;
  • mock or demean anyone for their accent, language, background, or any personal characteristic;
  • use slurs or hateful content, or promote violence;
  • bring sexual content into a session or make sexual advances;
  • describe, plan, or encourage illegal activity;
  • advertise, sell, or recruit for anything, or ask for anyone's contact details; or
  • deliberately upset another participant or interfere with their session.

7. Ending and reporting

  • End: any participant can end a session at any time, for any reason, using the Leave control. You will still be paid for anything accepted under the Contributor Services Agreement.
  • Report: use Report a concern on your Account page, or email support@remotedatawork.com. Speechify reviews every report and may review the session recording and related information to do so. If we find a breach of these Guidelines, we may reject recordings and pause or close the other person's account. We will tell you when the review is complete, although we may not be able to share details about another person's account.

8. No retaliation

Speechify will not penalize you for reporting a concern in good faith, and retaliation by anyone against a person who reports is itself a breach of these Guidelines.

9. Emergencies

If someone in a session says they are in danger, or may hurt themselves or someone else, end the session if you need to and contact local emergency services (911 in the United States, Puerto Rico, and Canada). Then let us know through Report a concern on your Account page or at support@remotedatawork.com.

10. Questions

Questions about these Guidelines go to support@remotedatawork.com. Privacy questions go to privacy@speechify.com. Speechify may update these Guidelines. The current version and its effective date are always posted on the Platform.
